Perez about Murinho

Hate by many, envied by a lot of peoples, liked by the ones that matter. The man I am talking about is Real Madrid manager, Jose Murinho. The media was writing a lot of times of the argues between the Portuguese coach and the directing board of Real. All that are wiped now by Florentino Perez declaration.

Perez still considers Murinho the best coach in the world. To support this, he made a brief characterization of his performance at the club, putting on paper only the positive achievements, although it is obvious that the major failures are the trophies lost to Barcelona.

The LIST:

-Murinho managed to understand what it means to be coach of Real Madrid;

-he empathizes well with the club atmosphere and with the history of this team;

-he understood that sometimes you have to make compromises for the good of the team;

-he managed to lead Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final, last reached in 2003;

-we gathered the most points in Champions League groups and had the best goal average;

-he managed to reorganize the club structure in order to bring peace between players and board.

With so much appreciation and support from the club, Murinho has to prove this year that he really is the best coach in the world and not only for the board.

Lessons by Barcelona

Barcelona is making a new dream match. They had the perfect reply for Real Madrid’s 6-2 with Rayo Vallecano. With the help of Messi and company, they gave a football lesson against Atletico Madrid, putting the ball in the net 5 times.

The scoreboard is opened by David Villa in the 11th minute, followed shortly by Miranda’s own goal in the 15th. From there, Messi took the strings and managed to score a hattrick in the 28th, 78th and 90, putting an end to Atletico’s suffering.

Pep Guardiola said: We are not unbeatable…….any team can beat us, but if we do things right the fans who come to watch us will have a good time, which is the most important thing. We played very well, it was a lesson in concentration, but from tomorrow on we have to do it again. Let’s see if we’re able maintain this level. It’s this year’s challenge

Barcelona: Valdes, Alves, Mascherano, Abidal, Xavi, Thiago, Cesc, Busquets, Pedro, Messi, Villa.

Atletico: Courtois, Perea, Godin, Miranda, Antonio Lopez, Mario, Thiago, Gabi, Reyes, Diego, Falcao.

With this victory, they stand second on the table and their next game in Primera Division is against Sporting Gijón and in Champions League on Wednesday against BATE Borisov.

Schalke without coach

Some interesting news are coming from the German Bundesliga. Ralf Rangnick, the coach who led  Schalke in the Champions League semifinals last season,  announced his resignation yesterday, a gesture that shocked everybody.

Ralf Rangnick said that the medical problems have pushed him to take this decision:
“I have analyzed very good the situation and I decided that I needed a break. It is a very difficult decision, but I feel that right now I do not have the energy to achieve performance at Schalke.” Ragnick said.

The Club General Manager Horst Heldt said he was shocked by the news of the resignation of Ragnick. Until the appointment of a new coach, the German team will be led by Ragnik’s former second in command.

German media announced that the most likely option for Schalke’s bench would be the bringing of Hans Flick, the assistant of Joachim Low at Germany’s national team. Until then, Schalke is facing Steaua Bucharest in Europa League and in Bundesliga are on the 9th position with 9 points in 6 games, next game will be with Freiburg.

Yesterday, the duel for supremacy in Primera Division took blace between Valencia and Barcelona. Undefeated until now, Valencia managed to gather all the points in first three legs and trying to maintain the first position. The other team, Barcelona, was in the chase for the first place, being down with just two points.

The game starts in force, with Messi being caught in offside. Mathieu from Valencia pulls the magic shoot and puts them ahead. Catalans aren’t satisfied and only two minutes later, with Pedro’s help, brought the score to 1-1.

Although Barcelona where all over, the ones with the goals were Valencia, Hernandez taking the score to 2-1, ending the first half in advantage. After the break, Barcelona shows once again that they made some good choices during the summer, Fabregas scores for 2-2 and the game end with a draw, a result that doesn’t make anyone happy.

Line-up:

Real fighting with injuries

Bad news are coming for Real Madrid. After the first defeat of this season and with just one point behind Barcelona, Murinho has to deal now with the injuries of two of his players. Things couldn’t be worse considering that Barcelona blown the charts in their last game making 8-0 with Osasuna.

Jose Murinho sees himself in a difficult situation, first from this season. In the last game lost against Levante with 0-1, Real lost Khedira who was eliminated and another two players after injuries. Pepe and Coentrao won’t be available for Murinho at least for 10 days, both suffering of a tie injury.

After this game the injuries list for Real adds two more, after some old ones like Nuri Sahin and Hamit Altintop. This thing makes it difficult for Murinho to assemble the right team for their next games.

Real Madrid have in their schedule a game with Real Sociedad and with Rayo Vallecano in Primera Division, followed right after by the Champions League fixture against Ajax Amsterdam. Though Champions League is important, they have to focus on the Primera Division because if Barcelona puts a gap between them, they will be very hard to catch.
