Fabregas on heat list

Cesc Fabregas seems to be the hottest name on the transfers list. Barcelona’s offer of 36 million is very close to being exceeded. The new sum comes around on 41 million euro, an offer from a big club in Europe. AC Milan is ready to make a bid for Fabregas far superior to that of Barcelona.

Italians will provide 41 million euros (£ 35millions) for Arsenals captain, an amount very close to the one Arsenal asks for the player.

AC Milan’s interest is a serious one and the only hesitation of Fabregas in terms of transfer to Barca has always been the matter regarding a secure place in the first 11. At Milan, would not question especially after Pirlo’s departure to Juventus.

Fabregas is in the middle of a war between Arsenal and Barca, negotiations got Arsene Wenger very frustrated and not knowing if he can count on the player next season.

A close person to AC Milan said: “We watched closely the situation and we would be delighted if Fabregas will come here. And, of course, if the team will have the money to do seal the deal.”

German Cup full of surprises

The German Cup is one of the competitions with the highest number of surprises per season. The games are very equal , the teams are very close in value, so you can be sure that a game is won only after the final whistle, no matter the score.

After Wolfsburg which was eliminated by a team of amateurs in the same competition in the first round, came among another former champion of Germany to be humiliated.

Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 was the leading team in the match with Dynamo Dresden after Derdiyok, Sam and Schurrle’s goals taking the score to 3-0. But the opponent drew and scored the decisive goal in 117 minutes killing all hopes for Leverkusen. Dynamo Dresden is a team that just promoted from the second league in Germany.

This score is not a very positive one, taking in mind that is not the best way to start a championship, talking about the team morale. What will happen from now on will be catchy for the eye and I can say that this season of Bundesliga will be a disputed one.

Murinho done it again

One of the most aggressive coaches in the world, Jose Murinho, has to deal with new problems. His last actions brought him a lawsuit.

Jean-Louis Dupont, the lawyer who led the famous Bosman case in 1995, will defend Jose Mourinho, which wants to escape from all of the sanctions imposed by UEFA. Mourinho was suspended 5 games after the statements made at the end of the match at Camp Nou in the Champions League semifinals.

Mourinho will be presented tomorrow in front of the board of the UEFA in Nyon: “For me there is something very important. I want to go tomorrow in Madrid until the time that I can do training with my team. I don’t want to lose a whole day for this.” said Real’s coach.

Santos delivers

Serie A sustained by corruption?

A new scandal regarding bets continues to hold the front page in the Italia. Two clubs in Serie A are involved in faked games under bets mafia.

Two clubs in Serie A, Atalanta Bergamo and Verona Chievo, three from Serie B, 11 in the third league and 26 other people will be sued for involvement in cases of rigged matches.

Federal prosecutor Stefano Palazzi has taken this decision on Monday, based on evidence gathered by the Prosecutor of Cremona. Among the 26 people who will be judged in this case are former Italian international striker Giuseppe Signori and the current Atalanta Bergamo striker, Cristiano Doni. If he will be found guilty, Doni risk a suspension of three years and Atalanta Bergamo could be relegated in an inferior division.

In early June, the ex- Italian striker, Giuseppe Signori and 15 other people were arrested by Italian police, being under investigation in the “Calcioscommette” case.

Among those arrested were included former players from Serie A, players in activity from Serie B and C, and leaders of clubs in lower divisions. The investigation is led by police in Cremona, in collaboration with units in Rome, Naples and Turin. Employees of sportsbooks are also considered suspects: the total inquiry is around 30 people.
