Premier League 2011-2012

With just one week before the 2011 – 2012 season of Premier League will start, the teams are testing players, finalize transfers and make their battle plan for the competition.

Chelsea’s new manager is on fire. He managed the third transfer of the summer. After Oriol Romeu (19 years) and Thibaut Courtois (18), Londoners have got to a deal with Romelu Lukaku Belgian (18) from Anderlecht.

The Striker gave 33 goals in 73 games for Anderlecht and already has 10 national selections in Belgium. Chelsea announced on its official site that Lukaku will support the medical tests and will sign the official contract early next week.

According to British media, the transfer of Lukaku will cost Abramovich about 25 million. The Belgian kid is compared to Drogba because of his style and was mentioned by a British magazine like the best young player in the world at his age category.

With all these acquisitions the Blues have to make a good figure this year in Premier League. But they are not the only ones. Manchester United and Manchester City have a very good chance this year also and, we can’t forget The Gunners.

Malouda makin’ bussines

Florent Malouda, one of the rightful owner of the position in the first 11 in recent seasons at Chelsea is playing at the highest level in the Premier League for his team. Beside this he feels attracted bythe administrative side of football.

He decided to enter the French Second Division, like a shareholder of Dijon club, where his younger brother, Lesly, is playing. The midfielder from Stamford Bridge will bring money to the club, meant to help develop children’s center and junior club in Burgundy.

Dijon’s president, Bernard Gnecchi, confirmed that 30-year-old footballer will be involved financially in the divisional second:

“Florent will put money in Dijon and will enter in the board of the club. It is currently very busy and may not represent the official club, but certainly in the future he will have more free time he can devote to Dijon.

His experience in football could be very helpful. Dijon wants to work at the highest level with children and juniors. Obviously, Lesly brother’s presence at the club had to do with his decision.”

Malouda has 121 matches for Chelsea and scored 33 goals in the blue T-shirt. He also collected 65 selections in the French national team where he scored another five goals.

Change at Chelsea?

After the last rumors from Chelsea regarding the firing of Carlo Ancelotti, news flashed out from each corner about his successor for Abramovich’s team. Ancelotti is reserved in declarations about his possible departure.

Carlo Ancelotti: “I do not know what the future holds. At the end of the season, the club can decide if they want to continue with me or change me. If they are not satisfied, than they can easily change me. This is not a problem.”

The primer subject in replacement at Stamford Bridge is Pep Guardiola, the main target and 1st enemy of Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti will be sacked after the Champions League elimination and Abramovich has set his sights on who created the current Barcelona team.

Guardiola recently signed a 12-month extension at Barcelona. But this won’t stop Abramovich, who hopes to lure him to coach in England, especially as he recently said he will not stay long on the Camp Nou.

Will Abramovich succeed in his attempts? Like all the time, the money will make the difference in my opinion. Keep close for more info’s.

The english duel, 1-0 for Manchester.

Champions League is used to deliver best games. Two heroes, one of the both sides, Wayne Rooney and Edwin van der Sar , first one his goal and second his saves made United favourites to win the English quarter-final.

The first leg was decided by Rooney’s strike in the 24th minute after great work by the evergreen Ryan Giggs. His goal is pretty important because it’s an away goal, and on the Old Trafford they will have the home advantage.

Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United):
“We’re not surprised. We didn’t get many chances, Nani in the second half and Chicharito’s [Javier Hernández] first-half header. Overall, it was a matter of a clever midfield. I think most of the time we contained them very well.”

Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea):
“We know it will be difficult now. We need to win at Old Trafford and have the confidence we can do this. Our performance tonight was good and we gave 100%. In general we played good football, with good control, but we conceded a goal too easily and it was very difficult to come back.”

Next Tuesday is not far away and the final result will set. Stay tuned.
