Matic rejoins Chelsea

The Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic rejoined Chelsea and signed a five-and-a-half year contract.
Chelsea have confirmed they have re-signed Matic from Benfica but didn’t reveal  the transfer fee. The British media reports suggest that Chelsea have paid around £21 million to bring Matic back to Stanford Bridge.

The 25 years old midfielder declared that he is very happy to be back to the club where he spent three seasons.
In the previous spell  he was too young to impose into the first team but now he is confident that he can be an important player.

Jose Mourinho believes the same thing and he declared that his quality could prove to be decisive for Chelsea’s progress this season.
Nemanja Matic has started his football career at Red Star Belgrade youth  team and then he moved to Partizan. His senior debut was at Jedinstvo Ub in 2005 and two years later he signed for Kosice.

On 18 August 2009 Matic was transferred to Chelsea where he made just three substitute appearances. At the end of January 2011 Matic signed for Benfica as part of David Luiz deal. Matic has made 9 appearances for the Serbian national team.

Torres in danger

Hot news are coming from Premier League. Chelsea’s coach, Andre Villas Boas, made a statement that shocked the fans. He wants to get rid of Fernando Torres. El Nino has only two games to prove that he deserves his place in the team, after he was one of the most expensive transfer just a few moths ago.

Villas-Boas said that he would not endanger the success of the team for just one player: “I have no problem in selling players. You must insist, but you cannot put in danger the team goals in order to obtain the things you want. When you compromise the smooth running of a team your place is in danger. I have no favorite striker. I make my decisions after what I see in the training sessions.

Drogba’s absence from the next two matches gives Torres his chance to regain the trust of Boas in him. Chelsea paid 57 million euro for a striker that managed to score a single goal in 21 matches.

This position could affect player’s ability to concentrate to his game, a fact that could make his departure even more possible. In any case, Torres has no worries because there are a lot of teams that could use his qualities.

Chelsea wants Sneijder from Inter

Usually transfers mean good news for a team, but I’m not sure that that’s a universal rule. Inter Milan is about to give up the second big name from the team this summer and the main reason for that is because  of Chelsea’s huge offer, seen like an important financial opportunity.

Roman Abramovich is ready to give up Luka Modric, Tottenham not wanting to sell the Croatian midfielder. In its place, the owner of Chelsea wants Wesley Sneijder, a perfect and maybe even a better replacement.

The Dutchman was wanted in the summer by both Manchester United and Arsenal but without success. This time, Sneijder’s chances of reaching to London are pretty high because Chelsea want a player from Inter team, and that could seal the deal.

The officials from Inter asked from Chelsea in return of Sneijder 30 million euros and a player, Florent Malouda. The situation is positive considering that when Abramovich puts his eyes on something, he usually gets what he wants.

With a player like Sneijder playing for them, the Blues could be the next champions in Premier League. But till the end, there is a long long way and they have to face United and City, two teams in a very good shape.

Valencia sell Juan Mata

With just a few days before Primera Division is starting, Valencia got a deal and won the big pot after Chelsea agreed their terms regarding the transfer of Juan Mata.

After a quiet beginning of summer on the transfer market, Chelsea made the right moves in just a week. They got a player wanted also by Liverpool and Arsenal, a skilled man that could make the difference between a loss and a win.

Chelsea and Valencia have reached an agreement “in principle” for Juan Mata to come to London club. None of the clubs didn’t want to talk about the amount of money but both confirmed that the player will do his medical exams.

Chelsea’s officials said: “We’ve got a deal with Valencia regarding the transfer of midfielder Juan Mata. Transfer now depends on the medical visit and the player to negotiate the contract with the club.

Chelsea was not the only team that wanted to Mata. One by one, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham have expressed an interest in Spanish but Villas-Boas made the right moves and got him for the Blues.

The next game for Chelsea is against Norwich City, a game that might have Mata on the field if everything will be ok with the paperwork.
