Ibrahimovic, out for AC Milan

AC Milan striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, was eliminated in the match against Fiorentina, 2-1 for the Rossoneri, after insulting a referee – assistant and suspended three stages.

“I’ve launched insults in Italian, but I cursed myself, then I talked in my native language. I was annoyed because I lost the ball. I apologize. I was focused, calm, but this may. I left without a comment. The referee made a choice, I challenged it, maybe I watching him, but with no intention. “said Ibrahimovic.

Warned in the 77th minute for a foul, he insulted the assistant and ten minutes later received a red card. It took three rounds of suspension in the following reasoning: a stage to the actual card, second for two red cards in a row and the third because he swore at the referee.

I regret what happened… But I feel good, I want to do everything to win. Now we must go on. Next time I’ll keep my mouth. “ finished Ibrahimovic.

AC Milan announced that they will make an appeal to the Federation against the decision made.

New rule in by UEFA

A measure introduced by UEFA for financial fair play might exclude from Europe’s two most powerful clubs in England.
UEFA measure will come strong from 1 June, but will not apply sanctions earlier than in 2013. The clubs Chelsea and Manchester City could not comply with this rule if would be applied starting today.

Manchester City had a deficit of 110 million pounds, while Chelsea has a hole of 50 million pounds to cover. Barrier set by UEFA notifies clearly: no club is allowed to have losses of 65 million pounds in the last five years.
This decision is made to reduce the gap between super rich and teams without great financial opportunities. Basically clubs will not be allowed to spend more than they earn.

Michel Platini insisted that teams in Europe to follow the rules imposed by UEFA about the exorbitant amounts being spent on transfers. UEFA president said it would take drastic measures if the teams have recorded budget deficits and does not respect fair play required by the European Forum Financial.

Platini : “When the record deficits is of 1.2 billion euros for European football, we can say we have a serious problem. If you wonder if we dare to take action against big clubs who do not follow the rules, then the answer is yes.”

The english duel, 1-0 for Manchester.

Champions League is used to deliver best games. Two heroes, one of the both sides, Wayne Rooney and Edwin van der Sar , first one his goal and second his saves made United favourites to win the English quarter-final.

The first leg was decided by Rooney’s strike in the 24th minute after great work by the evergreen Ryan Giggs. His goal is pretty important because it’s an away goal, and on the Old Trafford they will have the home advantage.

Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United):
“We’re not surprised. We didn’t get many chances, Nani in the second half and Chicharito’s [Javier Hernández] first-half header. Overall, it was a matter of a clever midfield. I think most of the time we contained them very well.”

Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea):
“We know it will be difficult now. We need to win at Old Trafford and have the confidence we can do this. Our performance tonight was good and we gave 100%. In general we played good football, with good control, but we conceded a goal too easily and it was very difficult to come back.”

Next Tuesday is not far away and the final result will set. Stay tuned.

Barcelona, a walk in the park!

Last night, UEFA Champions League offered us a magic evening. The entire Europe were awaiting the game between Barcelona and Shakhtar Donetsk. A game that was announced as a balanced one, with good odds on both sides, turned out to be a bit different.

With a shy game, the champions from Ukraine got the first taste of a Champions League quarter-final, when Iniesta puts the ball in the net in the 2nd minute from the start. Not having a lot time to recover from a shocking start, Alves served by Iniesta passes Pyatov and takes the score at 2-0 for the Catalans.

The break was a hope for recovery for Shakhtar’s players but, just minutes after, Barca strikes again through Pique. The Eastern Star was crashing bit by bit after Keita wrote his name on the scoreboard. 4-0 Barcelona.

The spark was just for a moment when Luiz Adriano scored the honor goal for Shakhtar, a moment forgotten after Xavi sealed a qualification after the first leg with a score of 5-1.
