Guardiola might replace Del Bosque

In Primera Division, the war is not only between teams. If you look closer, the main actors are the coaches, each with a hunger for good results and as much trophies as possible. The eternal war between Murinho and Guardiola is on a point where, Barca’s coach could have the edge.

Vicente Del Bosque is about to leave from the Spain national team after his contract will expire after Euro 2012. The technician does not know whether to accept or reject a proposed extension given by the Spanish football federation. Del Bosque would like to go, considering that the period of four years as coach that will end in 2012 is sufficient for his career.

The main favorite to take his place is Barcelona’s coach, Pep Guardiola. Spanish federation president Angel Maria Villar has compiled a list of some names, and Guardiola is his first choice. Barcelona coach would accept the proposal. He knows well the national team and most of the players, a thing that would make an easy task to reach Madrid.

Vicente Del Bosque is in his 60, trains the Spain national since 2008 and has had experience as principal at Real Madrid and in Turkey, at Besiktas. Last summer, he refused negotiations with Chelsea and AC Milan to continue as coach for Spain national.

Anji back in business

Starting as one of the biggest spenders in the latest moths, the Russians from Anji wanted to strike once more time. After they convinced Eto’o to go to Dagestan on a salary of 20 million euros per season, the billionaires from Anji were close in sealing another deal with a top player from Europe.

The player I am talking about is the Brazilian Hulk from FC Porto, who could have reach to Russia for 87 million euro, but the negotiations stopped just before the end of the transfer window.

“They were advanced talks with Porto, but we didn’t reach to an agreement with them. Many were talking about different sums of money, but the rumors that appeared have no connection with what is actually happening on the market.” explained the bosses from Anji.

According to several sources of media, Anji‘s last offer was of 87 million, but the information wasn’t confirmed by the Russian club leaders. Hulk has a 100 million euros termination clause stipulated in his contract, probably, the main reason for the negotiations blockage.

Cruyff starts another war

With the rivalry between Barcelona and Real Madrid, any spark could ignite the fire once again. This time, an old legend, Cruyff, the man who invented the spectacle football at Barcelona, thinks that if Murinho wants to win any trophy with Real Madrid, the only possibility for them is to move in another country:

“The attitude showed by Murinho transmits a lot of helplessness and arrogance. The biggest problem for Real Madrid at the moment is that Barcelona exists.  If they would play in any other league, they would earn much more.” says Cruyff.

But can this be true? Barcelona conquered indeed almost everything and has no plans of stopping. The cost for all that trophies is hard work and a good leadership. One of Barca’s new acquisition, Cesc Fabregas, explains:

“Everyone sees the goals but they don’t pay attention to the other things, in particular, when we talk about defense. I’ve never seen a team more focused in the transition between offence and defence. To play against Barcelona is very complicated but to play for Barcelona it’s even harder.  The thing that makes me wonder is their ability of hiding everything and makes it look easy.”

Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo

At the moment of speaking, the football is build around two players: Messi from Barcelona and Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid. The rivalry between those two was present in any challenge, from the best player to the best scorer. But time have changed and one of them admits that the other one is better.

“Messi has his personality, I have my personality. He has a certain style of play, I have another.  I play for a big club, he does it too. We are different in too many ways. At this point, he is the best.” said Cristiano Ronaldo.

But the battle is not over yet. Real Madrid is prepared for a year that would bring them all the trophies, at least that’s what they hope.

Ronaldo continued: “Real Madrid is the best club in the world and because of that there is a lot of envy! However, I feel that this will be a big year for all of us. There is no point in talkingabout what happened last year in the Champions League semifinals. We were removed unjustly, but we must live with it.”

This battle can only be a joyful moment, because in this way we know that we’ll have a quality football for obtaining the supreme title for a player: best player of the year!

Totti wants more

The earth shakes in AS Roma’s playground after the   sporting director Walter Sabatini has harshly criticized Francesco Totti, accusing him that his “vanity” is “killing the team” through his opposition regarding the new coach Luis Enrique, who did not placed the Italian player in the first  11 since he came to Roma.

“This situation is about to kill the team. Totti must deal with these exclusions in another way. He must learn to manage the situation better, he must put aside any form of vanity in order to help the group.” said Walter Sabatini.

Totti, who reached his 34 years, was just a substitute player in the game with Slovan Bratislava from the Europa League play-off round. Annoyed by the situation, he came the next day with a workout shirt with the inscription “Basta! / Enough”, making referral to the coach.

Sabatini continued: “In the modern football, there can be no untouchable players. We are in an impasse and I feel the danger of this situation that needs to be solved. Otherwise, there will be no team and there will be football.”

Francesco Totti is in the 20th season playing for AS Roma, many years in which he became an important voice of Roma. He was one of the people who opposed from the start to the coming of Luis Enrique as a coach and Franco Baldini on the general manager position.
